Macedonia is Greek

The real name of the so-called "Republic of Macedonia" is "Republic of Vardaska". Its residents belong to the Slavian tribes, who came to the region of the Balkans around 1200 A.D. They have no relationship to the ancient Macedonians who were Greek, came from Argos and founded their first cities around 700 B.C. The first king of the Macedonians was Perdikkas.

The greatest proof that the Macedonians were Greeks is the following:

The Macedonian King Alexander the 1st took part in the Olympic Games, (in which only Greeks could take part) after prooving that he was Greek. Other Macedonian kings, such as Archelaos and Phillip the 2nd took part in the Olympic Games also.

Alexander the Great spread the Greek culture all over the an ancient world, that's why that period of history is called "Hellenistic", which comes from the word "Hellas" (= Greece).

The Vardaskans have no relationship to Macedonians, who are Greek. Their language has nothing to do with the Greek language, which was and is still spoken by the Macedonians for almost 3.000 years. The Vardaskans have only existed as a tribe for 800 years.

So, when someone says the name "Macedonia", they mean an area in Northern Greece. This area belongs to Greece, is Greek and will always be Greek.

In 1912-13, the Macedonians fought against the Slavs in order to preserve their freedom and their Greek nationality.

Macedonia was, is, and will always be ONE, and it's Greek.

I agree with you pz. You're definitely right. Altough i'm from Liverpool i've read at my university's library an academic report that prooved that in fact Macedonia is Greek and Vardaskans, as Fyr called before World War II, have no right there. Well done again! Every British is with you. God bless you Greeks!
